The "Dream" Revisited

After almost 3 years of cruising, I have some thoughts and a number of different perspectives.....First: look carefully at your cruising budget, then multiply it by 3 (it will be much more accurate).....If you are cruising as a couple, find others to "buddy boat" with -- more fun, more interesting, and there will be times when girls just need girlfriends.....be prepared for the unexpected; roll with the punches (or swells); make sure that, as a couple, you are on the same page........and remember: if it's going to happen, it's going to happen out there! ...The sea and the wind are stronger than you: everything you do must be deliberate, thought out, and you must possess great intuition.....Be flexible --- there will be laughter and tears and new emotions to experience.......Keep everything in perspective and always honor your priorities, know your limitations and strengths as well as your boats, and make sure you have unwavering faith in your partner.
