Thanks Giving to CF Members
At this time of year it is traditional to give thanks, or Thanksgiving. For some it is a religious occasion. For others it is a time of family and feasts. I like to broaden it to include people I have met, people I know, and even those who I have never met but have added something to my life.
Today I would like to give THANKS to ALL of the CF members, both Old Salts and Newly Salted, that make this community so nice to visit, and who generously share their experience and advice and opinions. You ALL make this place fun and valuable.
Whether your words are an anecdote based on experience, a caution, a tip, an insight, or something humorous, I know I speak for many when I say that you have ALL brought me many hours of enjoyable reading and taught me many things. THANK YOU ALL!
And to the Moderators behind the scene, I give thanks too, for they work many hours keeping this place friendly for all and maintain that "Be Nice" rule that makes CF the best online community for so many to enjoy. Without them, we would be left with anarchy, and that is often a very unfriendly or hostile place. So, THANK YOU MODS!
And to ALL, I say, I would be happy to share a time sailing with you, and if we ever meet in a port or on a boat I will look forward to thanking you personally and sharing a brew or laugh or two with you.
Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!
____________
I recently saw this photo edit of a famous Norman Rockwell painting about Thanksgiving. Yes, that is a BIG red lobster instead of a turkey.
IF you have a fun or funny or special "Sailing" Thanksgiving card or graphic, feel free to add it below or any comments you wish to extend this Thanks Giving to others here on CF.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Not sailing related, but funny for those of us of a certain age:
"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

Who says Thanksgiving Dinner has to be Turkey?
I am having Homemade Texas Chile! Yum!
Anyone up for some LOBSTER?
Your boat may be in a tropical or arctic port today, enjoying your own ThanksGiving meal. If you had something unusual too, post a comment below with what you had and what part of the world you had it.

Re: Thanks Giving to CF Members
Down on the central Oregon coast for the holiday. Watching huge surf as wave after wave of heavy rain and wind pummel the beach. Today the Pacific shows it's non pacific aspect. No turkey for me this year. It looks like chicken and spagetti is on tap. Would love to take a walk out there but the beach is not really available due to the surf. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Re: Thanks Giving to CF Members
I will give thanks for all the wonderful cf peeps who have taken the time to answer newbie questions and to the "old" salts who share their knowledge and encouragement. I also have a soft spot for the more cantankerous cf participants. They have challenged me and irked me, but (with guidance from the level headed) I am better for it! And thanks to Steady too, he is a tireless encyclopedia of knowledge and boat porn!

From North of the border.......Happy Thanksgiving to all USA cruisers.
It's about this time of year the forum kinda splits into 2,
1) We've got 3 foot of snow with 2 feet of ice so here is today's joke/story
and
2) How do I untangle my chain from this coral head so I can go into town and buy a replacement widget
Either way : enjoy Thanksgiving :-)

Doing a bottom job at nanny cay peg leg restaurant could only muster chicken but on my quick sail back to green cay marina caught a nice size mahi so I'm grilling it instead for thanksgiving
