Thanks, Everybody

I've been hanging around for a while now, commenting occasionally (sometimes when I shouldn't), and reading a lot. Subject lines that suggest helpful information, others that just catch my eye. All sorts of topics.

And now that I suddenly find myself owning a boat, I also find that I've learned quite a bit. Doing a final checkout today before moving her to another marina* I was able to do things that I wouldn't have had a clue about a year ago. (Stuffing box? What's a stuffing box?)

So, here's to us. The previous owner included a bottle of bubbly in the sale; I'll raise a toast to you all.

* The move: not crossing oceans yet. It's a 25 nm motor up the Saint Lawrence River.
My boat is like me. People look, and say "... pretty good shape ... for its age ..."

Good on ya AnglaisInHull! I raise my beer glass in return. And maybe we'll bump into each other this season. I think I just sold my cradle here in Belleville, which means I'm committed to the Newfoundland trip now .
Why go fast, when you can go slow.
