Hey, there!
I want to go somewhere with a certain special someone this spring.
Well, circumnavigating has been a dream of mine for a very long time and she's only recently started thinking that it might not be so bad to sail away once in a while!!!
Needless to say, I've been beside myself thinking about it, so I want to wow her while I still have the chance!
Anyway, everyone knows about the
Bahamas, USVI,
BVI, so on and so forth, but I came across a few sites from people talking about how special the Spanish Virgin Isles are in comparison, (Also known as the Puerto Rican Archipelago); Like how laid back the islands are, how pleasant of a sailing experience it can be and how beautiful it is there.
Has anyone been there? Any stories about it? Comments? Concerns?
I don't have my own vessel yet, so I've been thinking that chartering a sailboat for an SVI trip from
Puerto Rico would be a lot of fun for both of us and might also provide some much needed experience for future reference.
What do you guys think? Sound expensive? Good idea? Not smart at all?
I could really use a shot of good sailor's wisdom right about now!
