Re: Superbowl & cruisers

No idea or care who is in the superbowl, but the six nations rugby started yesterday and England scraped a win against Scotland. all is well with the world.

Aye but we've been here before. We'll beat the Italians, get thrashed by the French, have the Welsh do to us what they did to Ireland and then get thumped by the Irish in revenge for what the Welsh did to them. Then there will be another rainforest worth of newspaper articles analysing the whole debacle to the nth degree at which point we'll be back to square one again.

More than likely, but I'll be wearing my shirt and watching every one of them. Win or lose there is no better sport.

Absolutely the best sport and if I was not in the South Atlantic I'd be watching them too!

Oh, and perhaps a beer or two...
I knew there was a reason I liked you right off, you married a Maine Maritime grad.

Lol, she said to say hello and that she was a "fish-counter" type, still in the Navy, graduated in '99.

I love Castine, great place! I remember seeing them decimate Mass maritime at their homecoming. Quite a bit of beer involved, good times!

I'm a '97 grad of CMA, and before you ask, yes I was an old fart going back to school in my mid 40's. Nothing like having to lock up the home for mandatory living at the academy and receiving demerits from some 20 year old upperclassman for a belt buckle that wasn't shiny enough.

Lol, I'm a grad of The Citadel, so I know where you are coming from.

That was a helluva game!

+1. I was a little worried during that last 50 seconds. But, it was well played. : )

Re: Superbowl & cruisers

I was made to sit through it all and thought some of the commercials were funny.
they kept getting interrupted by the game.
I guess all those breaks they have are so the fat players in all the padding can waddle up to the line of scrimmage.
Oh well, finished for another year so we can get back to the rugby....phew!!

Re: Superbowl & Cruisers

I didn't even know that it was Superbowl Sunday until I realized that the streets were empty on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
We had a gorgeous sunset sail after a great hike through the dunes and then we cooked some excellent Mexican food.
