Stranded Killer Whale

A young killer whale was stranded in some rocks south of Prince Rupert when the tide went out. He was kept cool while the folks that helped waited for the tide. His pod remained nearby until he was free and rejoined them.

Re: Stranded Killer Whale

Gad I hope she recovers though from the stress and possible injury being stranded on rocks.

Re: Stranded Killer Whale

They said she settled down and seemed to realize that the people were trying to help. Hopefully with the support of the pod she will be okay. They are such amazing creatures.

Re: Stranded Killer Whale

If I ever go aground I will remember that even whales can get stuck on the rocks. In my case though I hope it's mud.
