Stainless steel props

Summing up my experience with these:
I used to have a 36 ft express cruiser with twin screw bronze props but now have a 20 ft cc with 150 outboard and a ss prop.
Since it came with a stainless prop, I interpreted that as a sign of quality. But over two years it has rusted terribly...deep pits all over that will not buff out, so what’s the point of stainless?
Also since I’m in the Florida keys with lots of skinny water, I’m told aluminum would be better because the blades would chip off if bottomed out rather than bend and stress the motor and transom.
So I have a heavily pitted prop with, yes, a small bend in one blade. And a slight bit of vibration

The argument is that the stiffer SS has less flex than aluminum during acceleration but personally I believe that to be complete bs as the rubber hub in the prop dictates how much flex there is during acceleration. However during a strike the aluminum does absorb more force and in turn transmits less to the hub and onto the drive shaft.
