Slightly Rough Day

We moved from one anchorage to another about 4 miles away today, and a lot sure happened in that short time. I hit a nav buoy, Tamiko says I just kissed it but I say that I got to at least second base, that was a first in the big boat. Then I went aground about a quarter mile away. I heard an odd noise and looked up and saw that my depth was 5.7 feet, we draw 5.5. No problem, it didn't even slow us down much, that was a first in the big boat. Next we were passed closely by a Navy destroyer, then one of those cool new trimaran Navy Warships, then a submarine, and then our engine died right in the middle of the deep draft channel. I got it re-started quickly and then it died again as we were pulling up to the public dock to pump out and take on water. I think, no, I'm sure that it's time to change the fuel filter again.
All that and nothing bad happened really. What a day!

Some of those things are "once in a lifetime" events, so you are ahead of most of us.
Gotta see the silver lining, eh?
