Silverton Motor yacht/ aft

Anyone know this brand of cruiser... We are looking into another boat and wonder about your inputs...its 2002..sidewalk...helm and hardtop aft covered, 2 states, 2 heads, full galley and oven...240 hours and twin 8.1 . Great price. The owner's s wife died of cancer and he doesn't want the reminder of her because this was her dream.

Silverton is in the Luhrs, Mainship, Hunter family. It's not high end yacht but certainly not the bottom of the barrel. Low hours on the engine. Depending on the price, I'd look into it if your like the aft cabin style. Mine is a Convertible and I have no regrets buying it...LL

Silverton and Ovation WERE part of the Luhrs family, but have since been through a bankruptcy proceeding and purchased by the owners of Egg Harbor and several other higher-end brands.

FWIW, Luhrs, Hunter, and Mainship were purchased by Marlow... and the Luhrs brand has since been spun off yet again.
