Silicone based anti-foul

Has anyone tried the silicone based anti-foul? What is your opinion please? We are in SE asia so very warm climate.

Cost me thousands to remove what did not work!! Several others were conned by a product called Oceangard also. Don't be tempted!!

Many navies are switching over to silicone-based antifoul paint, with good results.

However, these paints are probably not suitable for ordinary sailing yachts, for a relatively high cruising speed is necessary to remove the fouling that grows when in port or at anchor. For HempasilX3+, Hempel recommends more than *8 knots*: HEMPASIL X3 87500 | Hempel.com
