Show us your boat card
Now that I'm cruising, I'm running into other cruisers asking me for my "boat card" My interior cabin sides are beginning to become wallpapered with them. I just designed and printed mine..
Let's see yours...

Re: Show us your boat card
May I ask why? (I'm a graphic designer and I figure "boat cards made to order" will probably earn me the odd bottle of rum here and there).

Re: Show us your boat card
In the olden days, HAM folks used to exchange (QSL) cards after bouncing through the moon to a ground station contact...now, it's a boat card...next, float plane card? Nah...not into fads!

Everyone I have met in the Caribbean (so far) has had a boat card. With everyone being so transient and with limited ways to keep in touch, I find them quite handy. It's not like being in the States where you can pick up the phone and call. While we all have phones, we all have a dozen SIM cards with a dozen different numbers. The other thing, we rarely have pens on us to write emails down and if we have a pen, we generally don't have paper to write on.
Not a fad, just being practical.

Re: Show us your boat card
We've started using a boat card a couple of years ago. Very handy for transient friends, but I hate managing all the physical cards. I now use an iPad app to image and store the card data. That way I can quickly search the database when a new boat shows up that looks familiar.
BTW, I'd show ours, but they are all on boat (and I'm not ). My partner designed our card.
