Shark 24'

Hello I have acquired a 24' shark sailboat missing the mast, boom and rudder. Still have the sails. It has New bottom paint. It seems to be a solid little sailboat. Looking for other shark owners with info on mast boom and rigging to assist me in restoring this sailboat. Thanks Jerry

Rules & Resources

That page has a list of active clubs sailing the shark, check that out. It isn't hard cobbling together a rig out of used stuff, I've done it with an old Bandit.

Post some details and pictures of your progress!

Re: Shark 24'

Original post is from 2012. But there is an extensive racing community for Sharks 24. A mast should be easy to find.
Racing it....a bit harder.
This from a Sharky racer.

WOW !! -- if that's a Hinterheoller - built Shark.
Raced on one out of Midland Yacht Club on the Georgian Bay in '71.

Re: Shark 24'

Yes it is most probably an Hinterheoller built shark.
We have 10 of them lined up ready to race at our club.
I actually was crew on one that raced the Shark world championship. People from Canada, Usa even europe came to race.
Europeans fly in with there sails and crew and rent a boat.
They are one design class.
I teach on one.
