Sailing to the Med thru Red Sea 2nd quarter 2015
Greetings,
I am "Thinking" of sailing from Dubai to the Med in the second quarter of 2015 to relocate my boat to Turkey, which I have not done before and would like to seek your thoughts on this.
Shipping is not an option as the cost is very high.
Also, I am not sure about the piracy situation as very little news is out there on the subject.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
My boat is a beneteau 45, it should be relatively comfortable for the trip.
Lootah Regards

Yeah, the time to go through is late January or February.
There may be a convoy leaving Salalah in Oman.
Dunno if I would want to do it again unless with Jimmy Cornel.
