Sailing Sabbatical one year off

Hi All, I am looking for advice from anyone who has chartered or organised a 9 month or longer charter as an alternative to purchasing a liveaboard cruiser. Any advice or support greatly appreciated.

Hi Multihuler, based in the Med for a one year stint 2022. Im a skipper with 30 years exp. Retiring with wife and will have a few visitors over the year, family and friends. I have sold my yacht of 15 years and am now in the market but would prefer to charter a long term cruiser before taking the plunge and committing to a large purchase again. Have you any experience in doing this?
