One more currently on Amazon Prime, "The Weekend Sailor," a documentary about how a Mexican yacht won the first around the world race.
There's one on Tubi, the free app, is called "Kill Cruise" 1990, cheesy, but quite a bit of sailing. Lots of discrepancies to get annoyed about :-)

I can speak to both The Matt Rutherford Story and The Weekend Sailor - both are well worth the time to watch. Great to see the outcomes for both. Highly recommend them-

Re: Sailing movies to stream
I love this topic, and most of the shows.
Master and Commander -- I own it and think it is inspiring
The Bounty -- any of the versions, but the one with Mel Gibson I own too.
Following Seas -- about Bob and Nancy Griffith, not fiction, but I thought it was inspiring (Amazon Prime has it for free)
Overboard -- Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn (there's a new version, but the original is better)
I will check out some of the suggestions. So far, YouTube V-loggers are most of my sail TV time.

We will be digging out our "Live in Anguilla" Jimmy Buffett DVD, as well as the perennial favorite at our home, "Captain Ron"!

Re: Sailing movies to stream
Both on Amazon:
The Bounty -- w/ Anthony Hopkins and Mel Gibson -- free with Prime
and the much better:
Mutiny on the Bounty -- w/ Marlon Brando, Trevor Howard, and Richard Harris -- $3

Re: Sailing movies to stream
Just watched "The Weekend Sailor" for the 2nd time again tonight.. It's available for free on prime video, and if you have chance - it's well worth it. Great true story of the 1st Whitbread race.

Re: Sailing movies to stream
There is a documentary or movie about a guy from Minnesota who tried the Northern Passage. Anyone remember what is was?
Overboard with Goldie. There's a reason she was referred to as the nicest a$$ in Hollywood at the time.
Wife and I saw Master and Commander one time on a whim in the theaters. Wow was all I could say. Bought it immediately! Capt. Ron is obligatory lol.

Love Captain Ron. Especially in the middle of Winter w/a snowstorm raging outside. Makes me feel as if I've just had a Caribbean holiday...!
