They say in the video that they found papers for Bavaria 32. The boat in the video looks bigger than 32

Re: Russian Navy found Abandoned Sailboat

Do they give a location?

Edit, this from You tube:

Almost mystical event in the Bermuda Triangle. The crew of guided-missile cruiser "Moskva" while crossing the Atlantic Ocean, the ship found no signs of life. It was a relatively small single mast yacht, designed for transoceanic voyage. In the interiors, one of the crew members was not there. According to documents, the owner of the ship is a citizen of Norway Gunnar Egil Mirai. Was he the one on board the ship or someone else was present unknown. The cruiser took the yacht in tow, and continued his move across the Atlantic. Website.

Re: Russian Navy found Abandoned Sailboat

I think the Wolfhound is Irish, but mebbe they mixed up the details on the owner, in translation. What's the chance of TWO swan 44/48 etc floating around Bermuda?

Guess I should turn on the other computer so I can see the video, and the other boat.

It is not 'Wolfhound' the Russian Navy picked up. It seems to be the yacht 'Embla'.

The owner's paperwork and Norwegian flag were on board. He crossed the Atlantic last November in a Swan 44 Embla and the video shots match the image of Embla.

Yes, I see the ARC rally link for Embla, and the starting list of competing yachts. Seems to be no other mention of the boat in first few Google pages. Interesting ...

Now I see the distress call link ...Cruise ship rescues yachtsmen - Captain Greybeard - Travel Advice - Mirror.co.uk

My mind is not filling in the blanks in a positive way.

Does the boat now belong to the Russians ? Or will that depend on what, if anything is learned about the missing crew/owner ?

Re: Russian Navy found Abandoned Sailboat

One of the references stated that the Russian Cruiser took it in tow. I'd guess the Captain just got himself a nice boat.
