Oh gosh! I just realized I left FrankZ off this list.
A thousand apologies. (And to any other CFers I've missed.)

Not one that I know. I would think the only way would be to recognize boat names or by chance to run into one. Maybe I need to get out more!

Don, surely you jest... don't you?
Just in case you are not joking, once you have been elected as the turning mark in an impromptu jetski race, or had one zip through your crowded anchorage where you and many others, including kids, are swimming, or had gangs of them roar through a bunch of tinnies fishing quietly... well, one develops prejudices against them.
I'm sure that there are folks who ride these abominable things and who behave in a civilized manner. If they idle quietly up to us at anchor and introduce themselves like yotties do from their dinghies, well, perhaps I'll make an exception and invite them aboard. I don't like prejudice as a rule and perhaps I could learn to eliminate this one... maybe!
Cheers,
Jim

No joke, a co-captain on a sport fisher I worked on had a jet skier crash into the side of his Kettenburg while he was on it. Jet skier died, left a huge hole in the side of the boat which they sorta-patched. Cops told him to get out of town because the dead kid was apparently the mayor's son or some such.
Can't even imagine what those few minutes must have been like.

Re: Run Into Any CruisersForum Folks?
So far...
SkiprJohn (Crew and friend)
sww914 (friend...I think)
RandyonR3 (Canvas maker, sewing teacher, friend)
Flo617 (Just ran into him)
Of course there are a few on here that when I pull into a dock will deny any knowledge that I am associated in any way to CF..

Coldar (Colin) Came to CROATIA and spent three days on board with us after tracking down the boat he has spent a lifetime dreaming of....
I'll let him break the news.

Met a few who seemed to be waiting for favorable tides at Bar crossings in Subic...
They will remain nameless!

I crewed for Carlisle Spirit so far, but hope to meet up with more. I fly the burgee whenever out of the marina but nobody has approached because of it.

Thought I had never met any CF's but just found someone lived on my dock-a few boats down. I know him but never knew he was CF.

Re: Run Into Any CruisersForum Folks?
I forgot to mention Celestialsailor. He became a real friend and I forgot about the CF part of the connection. Also, I bought my engine from Beetle.
So far, 100% cool people that I've met from here.
I've often said that the 2 guys who fight like hell online would have probably become fast friends if they'd met in person.

Re: Run Into Any CruisersForum Folks?
I've had 4 CF members sail with me on my boat. But there is really kind of poor as I know there are a lot more members in my area.
Maybe next year when I post a boat get together in the area someone will actually come.

I ran into Rebel Heart in Bahia Tortuga. My first run in with a forum member. I'm looking forward to increasing the count. Ha Ha Ha.... 1 CF member... 2 CF members...3 CF members...
