replacing simrad wheel autopilot

My Gib sea 33 is equipped with Simrad network and wheel Simrad/ Navico autopilot. I am told that the autopilot is not repairable.
Does anyone know if there is a replacement compatible with the Simrad network and any difficulties in the physical installation.

What model autopilot do you have? I have just replaced my Navico WP5000 and haven't thrown it out yet ... if you have the same model and it is broken in a different place you can have my old one for parts.
