thankyou--is awesome here. food is less, places to anchor prolific, and attitude towards the regular boatie, not snotty yottie, is awesome. unlike sd where boaters with less dough are treated as criminals. very friendly folks here. ensenada is a bit more pricy as no anchoring is allowed. also , ensenada is way too close to sd for my comfort----

Zee, if you haven't considered, you may want to scope out some hurricane holes, as the season is upon you. Just left Puerto Escondido (Sail Fest to La Paz), on the eastern side of Baja, ten miles or so south of Loreto. It's a nice, very protected spot, with two little stores and two restaurants, both with good food, are nearby. A diver named Ray will check out your boat and the mooring if you need it. A Singlar mooring would run you about $240.00 USD/month, which puts you inside the cove. You can anchor in "The Waiting Room," run by API, for a buck a day, but you're not as protected.

Also, haven't been there but reportedly nice is San Filipe; also Bahia Concepcion might work but you should get local knowledge.

Fair Winds and Blue Skies,
Lorenzo
