Out of water bottom cleaning price. I feel this is to much.

The victim an unmaintained Alberg 30 I was trying to buy.

US dollar amounts.

$350 lift out with travel lift
$150 power wash
$180 hull scrape
$350 resplash
$1030 total

It wasn't a rush job. I was planning to schedule the haul out until I got the pricing.

I'm not naming names because I don't know if this is excessive. I feel that it is based on some other's experiences and the costs they incurred. The area is coastal SC.around the Charleston Georgetown areas.

Just get a diver. Much better. There is no need to haul the boat just to clean the bottom. The only time you have to haul it out is for repairs or to do the bottom paint. If it is just a cleaning, you are much much better off hiring a diver.

That would have been nice but the river water is brackish and muddy. The prop is fouled and the boat have to be towed for a haul out or to clear water to be cleaned. We also have alligators around the area.

The boat has already been hauled?

Re: Out of water bottom cleaning price. I feel this is to much.

This type of work is very dependent on the area. For example a haul, hang & power wash is about $400 USD in Portland Oregon and half that in Astoria.
If normal power washing doesn’t remove the bottom growth and scraping is required I suggest you continue on to the next step and bottom paint the boat.
Both power washing and scraping wreak havoc on bottom paint.
Many yards have pre-season specials to haul, clean, prep & paint for a reduced fee. May be worthwhile to ask.
Good luck,

I would characterize that as being more or less the going rate. Some places are more expensive.

As others have posted, be sure you get the most you can out of the haulout e.g. bottom paint, any thru-hull maintenance you need, prop work, rudder repairs, depth transducers, etc.

Yes, that's why I posted the general area the boat is in.

I can almost guarantee that there is a diver near you that can take care of this. Where is the boat located?

Yep all is well there, except bottom paint.
