Off tomorrow
Well after 17 days of getting the boat ready we're off tomorrow. Blowing from the south for the next four days so it's down the ditch from Fernandina Beach. We're not in a hurry so it's not so bad. Actually I don't mind that for the first few days, get a chance to see that everything's really working. Doing our usual route, down to Miami, then on to Nassau and then south along the Exumas, maybe Long Island and the Jumentos. It'll be nice sitting in Normans Cay again.

but somebody has to do it. Actually it's not that dirty, the secret is not to get the slimy stuff on your hands and after a while you learn. Just hang onto its foot until all the slimy parts are cut off. Delicious, our favourite is cracked conch. We even have a special tool for bashing it.

from Ikea, I got it in basic black. The chair is courtesy of flotsam. Next time I went back some bugger had nicked it.

Re: Off tomorrow
Rick, we may see you in the Exumas. We are in Port Orange now, after coming down the ditch from NC the last week and a half. Crossing around the first, when a good weather window appears. Our boat is Journey. Martha (MJ)

If you see Breathless give us a shout. You're ahead of me, won't be in Daytona for four days yet going to stop in Palm Coast and visit with friends first.

Re: Off tomorrow
If you need a place to tie up for the night in Boca Raton right off of the ICW, I have a dock, shore power, and ice cold drinks, all for the low, low price of free. (that goes for anyone on CF). If you're interested, give me a shout.

Re: Off tomorrow
Rick, If you stop at the Palm coast Marina, and happen to see Pete and Pokey on MV Prim, or Al and Jennifer on MV Close Knit, tell them a big Hi! from Al and Martha. (Look for dachhounds running underfoot and you will have found them)
We have taken a slip for a month (don't know if we will stay that long) at Adventure Yacht Harbor (port orange) to offload loads of crap before crossing the stream.
