And some people wonder why some marinas don’t welcome liveaboards! Not only the flapping FEMA tarps, but the fuel tanks strapped to the boat just waiting for a chance to ignite..... Thank goodness there are far fewer smokers on the docks than in the past!

Excuse me....
We are not liveaboards. We live in a beautiful waterfront home on the Indian River Lagoon.
We were leaving for an extended cruise in the Bahamas the next day after the photo was taken where we stay in remote anchorages, far away from anyone else where fuel is not available. The fuel cans were removed from the deck the day after we returned home.
And...the shade covers don’t flap as the bungee cords hold them tight. And the “FEMA tarps” are only used at anchor.
I only hope that you will mature out of your miserable judgemental attitude.

Re: Need to replace air conditioning unit.

A 10k to 12k unit will never cool your boat south of Mason Dixon line. The cost of a 16k vs 10 k is $200, get a 16k unit, worry about ducts later if there is a problem. Depending on location you will probably also need insulated hatch covers, sun screens for the windows, and possibly a boom tent. Where we bought our last boat (Houston)virtually all of the sailboats had boom tents. Enjoy
