Need Help Identifying Model of a Cheoy Lee 36'

I am looking at a possible purchase of a 1982 36' Cheoy Lee ....trying to identify the actual model...(I'm being impatient hearing back from the broker and owner) I have the Hull ID#....is anyone aware or have suggestion how I can determine the Model? The cabin layout is not consistent with a Luders and appears to be original layout.....just trying to determine before I made my offer

I think you may be looking at a Cheoy Lee 35 not 36. The 35 was designed by Perry not Luders, and was built in '82.

SO, we've been able to determine that based on the hull ID it is 1980....and I'm pretty certain it is the 36....still digging.

Hmmm, according to sailboatdata it wasn't built in '80 but sd is not perfect.
