Murphy’s Law

I worked on aircraft for years where Murphy’s Law abounded. Basically this says that anything which can be fitted incorrectly will be. I put a new water seal into the water pump">raw water pump of my little Volvo diesel. On restarting the engine there was zero water output from the exhaust. Fault finding: cover off impeller engine turned over, impeller turns. Remove exit pipe from pump and turn over engine, no water. Fill raw water strainer with water, drains out of boat inlet. Scratches head, oh dear, pump on upside down. Kicks oneself around the Marina.

Re: Murphy’s Law

Yup, I wrenched on fighter attack aircraft for some years, and you state the truth, I found a pair of safety wire pliers wedged under the engine of an A-4 Skyhawk that was transferred to our squadron from another squadron, it’s a real thing.

That damn Murphy guy is like a bad penny, just can’t get rid of him…

Fair winds,
