I lived at Marina Taina for a year and a half but it was about 20 years ago. It was wonderful back then.

Adrian charges an hourly rate. It depends on what you want him to do. Run the engine, flush the water maker, etc. etc. If memory serves me its about $50-60 an hour (best guess).

He will tailor his service to exactly what you want him to do. For some folks he has a long list of tasks to accomplish before the owners return. He is a mechanic and services engines, etc. He can also coordinate other type of work and act as a project manager.

Re: Mooring or marina around Tahiti for long stay

Hi and thanks again for all your Tipps.

We are still not sure what to do during the more dangerous month. We would be able now as mentioned to have the yacht in the marina but then we fear not getting a mooring afterwards and the marina is really expansive :/.

For now we are still at a mooring in Taina and have someone on the yacht every 2 weeks.

Now many people have told us that a mooring is as save as a marina if really a hurricane hits Tahiti. So we have to decide now if we keep the yacht on the mooring till mai or really move it to the marina and back on the mooring (if free).

Any suggestions, experience is welcome
