I had a Max Prop installed on my SO349 and now, after four weeks on Lake Michigan and Huron, its offical - it is WAY slower than the fixed prop under power. I was running 5.4 knots at 2,800 rpms as compared to 6.0 with the fixed prop.
Does that sound right to everyone?
I saw something about "tuning the pitch
to the engine" .... not sure what that means.
