Yesterday was launch day at Lake Macquarie for our
new boat. The
boat is a 42' medium to heavy
displacement semi-custom cruiser built by
Bluewater Cruising Yachts at Newcastle NSW. It looks pretty sleek now but we're going to fix that by adding a hard
dodger, stern arch with
davits & all the usual cruising goodies. It has to be finished so we can sail it to the
Sydney boat show in 2 weeks time. Sorry no pictures of it in the
water as I was too busy finishing off the remaining
food and refreshments. I might post a few more pics here as the rest of the stuff goes on. Oh, I nearly forgot, there's a tall stick thing that has to go on in about the middle of the
deck as well.
We've named the
boat Sabbatical II hence my username change from Eleebana. There was already an Australian ship registered as Sabbatical which is why this had to be No 2. The name was chosen as it exactly fits our purpose for the boat. We still have a business running that is managed and I have told them I'm taking a sabbatical of about 12 months. After that I'll tell them some more.
