Lats & Ats magazine is Alive??
Back in the old days Lattitudes & Attitudes was the only magazine worth reading. Now I see it’s alive again??
Nobody told me.
But if I hit the US subscribe button it goes to rubbish.
Any updated insights?

Re: Lats & Ats magazine is Alive??
It is a great magazine, whether paper or online. I've always enjoyed it, I just appreciate Bob Bitchin's attitude. Pun intended. But yea, they are definitely still kickin', I just submitted a story for publication, hoping it makes the cut.

Re: Lats & Ats magazine is Alive??
Right after the original Latitudes & Attitudes was shut down, Bob Bitching started Cruising Outpost Magazine in 2012. In 2019 the name was changed to Latitudes & Attitudes. All issues are available on the Latitudes & Attitudes web site. Here is issue #2: https://latsatts.com/subscribe-to-cruising-outpost-now/

I’m always suspicious of “free”……data mining always comes to mind. Selling subscribers lists was a profit center for most publications and it has evolved along with the technology advances.

Re: Lats & Ats magazine is Alive??
Long story, Bob wrote about it. He sold Latts & Atts to an investor who turned out to be a crook and never got paid! Restarted the magazine with 'Founders' who made a long term financial commitment (I was one), and started Cruising Outpost. He recently got the old name back, changed the name, and restarted. I THINK (I'll get him to confirm) that he finally found a 'real' buyer. Bob and Jody are great, real sailors with 140K miles under the keel, and kind folks. If you aren't a subscriber you might want to be. They also pay their writers well. Oh, and regardless of the current deals Vets always got free subscriptions....

Re: Lats & Ats magazine is Alive??
I'm getting a big smile right now because when I go the L&A's homepage I see a picture right up front of my wife and I out sailing.
Sorry, can't help it, I think it's kinda cool. YMMV as they say.

Re: Lats & Ats magazine is Alive??
Lol, yeah I can't think of anything funny to say that might not get me in trouble.
So I'll just say "not that picture Gord, the one to the left. The left !"
Hell, if that was my....aww never mind. That thought would get me in trouble.
Let's just say...um...nope...not that one either.
