This is the perfect definition of liberal thinking. Right or wrong ". It's the thought that counts". If actually hurts or helps is totally beside the point.

In the first minute of the video he SHOWS proof of being a meteorologist.

Although, I guess you are right. He's not a 'meterorologist' whatever THAT is.

Zero on CF would be enough. It's never a scientific discussion, just a political one. No minds have been changed.

We could ask the mods to make an off-limits topic, but then CF would lose the eyeballs on ads from those who claim to dislike this discussion but show up anyways.

Why do you both participate, and Mr Day, why do you like stirring it up?

For once I agree with you.
Just one question:
You participate, yet you say zero would be enough...Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Obviously, I watched it ALL. Which is why I criticised him claiming he's a scientist and he did not seem to know the difference in local weather and climate change.

Obviously

Spelling correction That's your come back

He does NOT give proof he's a 'meterorologist' or a 'meteorologist'. What 'proof' did he give of being so? He was a member of a meteorologist group. Nothing more.

Re: Indication of warming ocean

guys, and gals,

Anyone who doesn't like the topic and is calling for moderators to close it or to have 'off limit' subjects, should really just LEAVE. It's like watching TV, you don't have to participate. Leave the thread.

The only poster I think I see routinely being offensive is Third Day, but everyone else, even ye old Reefmagnet I think have continued this thread quite positively, humourlessly (unscientifically ) but just the same, it's been pretty good most of the time.

Hell, I must be a meteorologist too, I study the weather and stuff

I don't think that posting anti-science rot should go unchallenged. The anti-science angle is pretty much all I've been going on about, though some call me alarmist or part of a cult for doing so.

I suppose others would state the same about anything posted in support of the finding of AGW.

So...no thread, no problem, and we can stick to sailing and cruising topics, right?

But then Rich would have to find some other forum to troll

CF doesn't seem like a good place to be debating AGW, and it isn't building any friendships or changing minds. It's 99% political, and no-one's engaging seriously with the 1% of science that does make it in.

AGW threads, moreso than guns and anchors, has become a debating society for bored cruisers and sailors, and really hasn't reflected well on us as a group.

But whatever. If it continues to be permitted here, of course I reserve the right to show up and tug beards.
