I’m stumped. Anyone know how this works?

This is the motor mount that came with our boat but I can’t figure out how it mounts on the…rail? Lifeline? Toe rail? Anyone know how these work? Click image for larger version

Never mind, it’s for the RIB not the boat. Always google twice post once.

Why can’t we delete our own posts?

That’s not for a RIB. It is for a an Avon redcrest or similar. Only good for a handful of horsepower.

Always providing the inflatable has the integral straps glued to it to take the 2 sticking out bits (prongs, I meant.)

It fits a AVON Redcrest inflatable Dinghy for a outboard, my first Dinghy was a Redcrest back in the 80'S.

I have one that just like this one on my 40 year old Achilles inflatable, mounts a 2.5 hp Tohatsu 2 stroke.

Yeah, the two prongs slide into the rubber mounts, not straps, on the stern of the Avon. Don't throw it away!
