Re: How to showcase your boat or Bumfuzzles quit sailing

Advertising is a situation where function follows form.

While it would be nice to list all the details, if the pictures show a total cluster of a boat, the buyers will never look at the specs. If the boat looks great, they will take the time to get ahold of the specs.

Re: How to showcase your boat or Bumfuzzles quit sailing

Buying is an emotional decision, we buy from our hearts first. Later its confirmed or rebuked by the analytical side of our minds. There is always some buyers remorse and we tend to look to our friends and associates to reinforce the emotional decision that we made.
There is an old saying in the game that goes "you never get a second chance to make a good first impression".
The seller in this case understood the basics and made sure the buyers had a good first impression and were sold on the idea before getting the surveyors report.
When your selling your boat it should be spotlessly clean, it should smell OK and "all" the junk and personal crap should be removed.
Nice to see someone that was succesful in selling their boat in real short order in a less than stellar market.
