First of all I strongly recommend that you find a solution to this problem ASAP because big shocks are never appreciated by the S-Drive transmission.
Have you checked if the blade gears are clean from
barnacles and if blades move easily ? On folding props gears are exposed to incrustations which would impede a smooth blade opening
If blades movement is OK...then it might actually be a transmission problem
