getting on the water

hello all, we are in kona hi, looking for a way to get on the water hopefully on a catamaran for a few hrs but unfortunately i cant seem to find anyone who does day trips out for beginners to see if its right for us. most tours are available to snorkel tours or sunset cocktail tours. i would really like to see if i like it before signing up for lessons. Any advise on how i can find a local sailor to try and get out there for the first time. thanks so much.

I don't know them and have never been there, but they came up first when I googled Kona Catamaran Charter. They offer 2 he, 4 hr and day long charters. They charge for what you want to do. If what you really want is a free day cruise on someone else's boat while you are on vacation that is harder to come by and should likely have been worked out in advance.

Thanks for the info. Yes I would pay. I just would like to find something that is for sailing more than tourist experience. But also not 1,000$. I will keep looking but I would love to meet a sailor and see there experience more.
