Garmin class A autopilot

I'm going to install a below decks autopilot on my 1979 38' Downeast ketch: 16,000 lbs. I have installed a new Garmin 7612 chartplotter and I'd like to stick with Garmin. I have done the rest of the refit (2 year salvage) on every system in the boat so far but I'm thinking of getting a marine electronics company to do the install on this. I'm looking for anyone with experience with the Garmin Class A mechanical drive arm and the Garmin Reactor retrofit solenoid corepack. It's rated up to 28,000 lbs which should work but I'm building a "10 year boat:" other than the usual constant maintenance, I want all systems to be extremely robust and maintenance free for at least 10 years.
Please! No trolls judging my choice of Garmin. Everything I've done has been a massive research project.
Thanks!
