Female Sailing Crew

Looking for female sailing crew to cruise the Carribean in the next 5 - -10 years. Recently divorced. Ex-wife hated sailing. Realize I need to look for a partner who loves sailing as much as me. II have also found it difficult finding females who are also into sailing. I’m 44 years old and looking for single female somewhere between 35 - 55 years old who has a passion for sailing. I have 31’ Hunter in Corpus Christi that I would love to go sailing with.

Re: Female Sailing Crew

Pro tip: female has same connotation as "specimen".

I think you'll do better looking for "women", more likely to also be full-fledged "humans".

That is assuming you are one yourself.

You could at least pretend to be nice to a new poster.

This. Referring to women as "females" is very dehumanizing. Using "female as an adjective is fine, using it as a noun when referring to a woman is off-putting and counterproductive to the goal of attracting them.

Re: Female Sailing Crew

Geezuz, I understood what you meant and didn’t take offense.

All women are females, not all females are women, not all female women humans are ladies. But I guess you could have meant a female dog, cat, parakeet or a non woman human female.

Anyhow, Ruckdog, how about filling out your profile and add some cool sailing pics. It might help a female woman human decide to reply... or not.

Where are you in Corpus? I’m at the Municipal Marina.

Re: Female Sailing Crew

Well. I’m in the municipal marina too on Lawrence. street, A-1. I’ve joined the Bay Yacht Club and I am a member there... but not too many single ladies my age are members. I’ve tried Tinder and Bumble dating sites... but you don’t often find sailing ladies, women, etc on there. There is also a match making site on the Internet called LoveSailing.com that I tried out and found not to be very good.

It’s just my personal belief to find a woman who wants to stop her life and sail around for a couple of months is hard to find. I’m sure they are out there, I just think they are few and far between.

Re: Female Sailing Crew

Didn’t mean any offense to it. I could have used woman. Lady just sounded nicer than woman.

Welcome.

They're either out there already or on land.

Just like you.

Continue your quest. This is one of many avenues to do so.

Good luck.
