Hi Anjou,
Yes, I could've gone with a
monohull, but then I wouldn't have a Searunner!
Our head is the incredibly simple/reliable Levac. Other than replacing two "valve
rebuild kits" on the
diaphragm hand
pump, it's been no hassle for the 13 years it has been on the
boat.
We carry 4 anchors. The primary on the bow is a 35#
Delta, and the others are all Fortresses. The small one is for "Bahamian mooring" along with the primary. We have a large one to use as backup, or double up in predicted gales... AND we carry a HUGE "hurricane anchor", broken down in it's bag and stored low in the
hull. (Done "the H drill" over a dozen times now, and still don't like it!)
The
center cockpit has your body on the "center of gyration". It is really cool, kinda like wearing the
boat, rather than riding on it's back!
Regards,
Mark
