Edinburgh - Nearest 50T Hoist

I have a boat in Edinburgh that weighs around 40 Tonnes, steel of course. There is no 50T hoist anywhere near to lift her out for a hull scrape and paint.

Even Hartlepool (which is a way down) only have a 40T hoist.

Port Leith want to charge me £9,000 for a lift and £8,000 per month for hard standing!

Does anyone know the closest sensible 50T lift near Edinburgh?

Have you looked around the peterhead area ? There are a lot of commercial fishing trawlers based there and the skippers are known for being tightwads

Hi Laird - thanks for the reply.

Probably too far in the wrong direction. I need to get her to Hull, but don't fancy the journey until the hull is clean and inspected. She has a lot of growth and I'm not sure of the condition. I was hoping to find somewhere on the way down south, but the area seems devoid of facilities.
