Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman ...

Thanks Goeff for the extended story. And we hope that you make it to Tassie for the woodie festival, for we're looking forward to shaking your hand.

We'll send a card when we can get to a PO. Sequestered in East Boyd Bay waiting out some S'ly wx, and have no access to shore stuff (like post offices!).

Cheers,

Jim

So pleased to hear that you reached a settlement and (mostly) got paid, Boatman. Sorry we didn't manage to catch up with you in Tasmania. If you ever make it to this side of the pebble again, we will make sure to cross paths.

Just read the updates. Really chuffed you have at least got 80% mate. A big 3 cheers for the Attorneys, may the road rise up to meet them and may the wind be at their backs and may God bless them with a Merry Christmas and all that is good for the New Year.

The 20% the rogues got away with also had a good effect (even though they didn't intend it) ... it provided friendship and support that cannot be bought!

May Christmas and New Year bring you good tidings my friend. Merry Christmas to all at CF.

Boatman,

they just seem to be popping out of the woodwork now that you've set the precedent:

I mailed a card a couple of days ago. Glad everything worked out for you Boatman. I hope if we ever get into any kind of situation, there is someone like Wotname that comes to our rescue! Now that we have started our adventure, I hope we will be able to meet both of you somewhere.

Re: Don't Pay The Ferryman ...

OK everyone, just to revive this thread again for a moment .

Christmas / New year has come and gone and the silly season has ended for most.

I know that some of you were going to send a card to Tim Cocks but your life got too busy just before Christmas and some of you just thought that while it might be nice idea... well it was all too difficult to think about.

Now that you are less stressed and before life kicks in too hard for 2013, I would kindly suggest that this is a very fine time to take a moment and pen a short note or card to Tim thanking him for his pro-bono services to our very own water rat boatman61. Do it this weekend and you will feel great

Sorry if this sounds like one of the endless email loops when all good things happen if only to send it to all (or in my case, both of ) of your friends.

For any who don't know what I am talking about, where were you in 2012; go away and read this thread from post 1

By the way, as a reminder, here is Tim's address again.

Cocks Macnish

41 Colin Street
West Perth

6005

FWIW, I have had a few great days sailing in Southern Tassie thanks to Phil getting Blue Moon II to Port Huon.

Over and out (maybe)
