Not IT, they just do what they are told and I'm being defensive..
IT cares about user experience - such changes are purely originated from the sales/marketing office.

I just tried Yachtworld Advanced here in Australia and it was just the same as ever.

Re: Did They Change Yachtworld?

I noticed the change a couple of weeks ago, if their goal is more clicks and opportunities for adds to the user, they’ve lost chances with me. Up until the change I would visit the site 2-3 times per week, haven’t been back since trying to navigate that horrible search function.
I think I’m exhibiting some withdrawal symptoms!!

Re: Did They Change Yachtworld?

I use a VPN and went to Australia and got the original search using this link.

Re: Did They Change Yachtworld?

There's one feature that's now possible. The problem is that if I reveal it they will probably kill it. I wonder how I can share it without their spy seeing it here in the forum. Just look at the url at the right moment.

Re: Did They Change Yachtworld?

Simply put....it now sucks! They (yachtworld) need to change the site to how it used to be. Very frustrating to use/attempt to use.

Re: Did They Change Yachtworld?

You can still get to "Advanced Search" simply by clicking on "boats", which you will find directly to the right of the YachtWorld logo.
I just tried it and it works fine. My last search is still showing there when I clicked it.

Re: Did They Change Yachtworld?

Mojo, that doesn't work for me. There is no advanced search and clicking on boats takes me to the top of the list in length.

Actually I was thinking about purchasing a cruise ship.

Re: Did They Change Yachtworld?

Sounds like Microsoft, just change stuff for the sake of change without first asking the users what they prefer.

Figured it out

If you fill out the filter section and then let it load the boats that you are interested then you can save that page with filters intact. Hopefully this will always load up with the newly listed boats that fit your criteria.

When you click on “Boats” you do have to then click the button that will look something like “Filters(0)”. This will take you to something that has all the options of the advanced search field. How to save this I don’t know but when I went back to YachtWorld it had those preloaded in a drop down with all my previous filters.
Having said all that the old way seemed to be better but I am not sure functionality has been lost.

These techie-types always have to f--- with things that are working fine.

But you can do a "screenshot" which is essentially the same thing
