As Hunter Thompson said "Fish f*ck in it" (so do people occasionally )
Thanks for the invitation Don, bit far away for this weekend. Of course, I could send your invitation onwards to some gals I know, but then your cockpit would be filled with tall, young, blond Danish gals in (very) short skirts, with unbelievably loooong legs.
And you wouldn't want that. Be difficult to get around, falling all over them, tough to get another beer etc. Better you drink a beer with the guys.
Drink one for me

Only goes to show a cruisers priority. Cold beer rates higher than nubile young danish gals with long legs and short skirts

Re: Cost of Cold Beer
I have adequate stocks of cold beer, but am short of nubile young danish gals with long legs and short skirts.
I would happily swap half my stock of cold beer for a small selection of yours

Re: Cost of Cold Beer
Almost 40 years of cruising under my belt (keel?) and have never spent near $ 1000 on ice to cool my beer.If ice is gone and beer warm there is always red wine to be drunk at cabin temp. ,G and T, and rum drinks also totally worth while when warm. If you keep your boat systems simple ,you will go more often and further AND have more money and time when you get there. I'm thinking Denmark here.
Luv you all………………………..mike……………………………………………………………………………. ..

Just remember Zee, that in many parts of the world, Budwieser (gag) is considered an exotic imported beer, and might impress impressionable young long legged Danes. One could hope that this would not happen, though!
I'll never forget standing in front of the beer case in the old CCC store in La Paz one day. A Mexican national somehow (!) identified me as a gringo, and asked me which beer I liked best. I replied that I preferred Bohemia, and he said "no, I mean of the really good beers, like Miller or Bud". Takes all kinds...

So what is the cost of cold beer? I have the system up and running and the cost has come to $1469 which includes the panel, controller mounting, wire and connections (and 12 hours of my time).
The panel itself at $269 was the cheapest part of the whole system!

Uhh, Zee, check the credit line... that wasn't Ann talking beer! She's more of a red wine sort of gal.
Cheers,
Jim

Ahh yes - danish. at you call "danish" we call "weinerbroed". These two things are not in any way related.
