Re: Coronado 25 keel

I owned a Coronado 25 thirty years ago. The bolt heads should be visible in the bottom of the bilge. It is possible someone filled the bilge over the bolt heads?

Re: Coronado 25 keel

Keels are of two basic types - bolted on or integral. I believe the Coronado 25 has the second. The keel is a fiberglass cavity that is part of the hull and filled with iron, lead or similar dense and heavy material. No keel bolts needed.

You may be correct. I sold the Coronado many years ago. I do remember that there was no visible indication there was an exterior keel. My boat was 1969. it is reasonable that a production line like the Coronado 15 would have an integral keel.

Re: Coronado 25 keel

A little web research found this site. Boat has a glass encapsulated lead keel.
