Charter contract

Not sure where to post this. I am about to sign for a 5-night catamaran charter with captain and crew out of St. Thomas. Any red flags to look for in the contract? Anything that should be written in that is often omitted or forgotten?

You might look to see if smoking is covered. I've never hired a captain before, but my parents did a few years ago. They did bareboats for decades with he same small group of friends but, due to physical limitations, decided to hire a captain on the last one. They are non-smokers but the captain was a chain smoker. He even adjusted the itinerary around his smoking habit. My parents had no recourse because it was not in the contract. My advice is to think about what a bad experience might look like and try to mitigate the potential in the contract. Don't overlook the small things.
