Re: CF Member has Suffered Great Loss

It was once explained to me by a fellow bar patron late one evening, that marriage is like magic and that once we learn to embrace the concept of marriage to its fullest extent, then we are sure to discover the magic.

Unfortunately for me however, I failed to heed his words of wisdom and have regretted it ever since.

In any event, I for one wish that I had a few words of consolation that might lessen this loving husband's heartache in his time of grief but I simply don't.

My heart goes out to Steve and his sons.

Re: CF Member has Suffered Great Loss

My deepest condolences!
When life asks of you to be a man, and only you will ever know what that means, I wish you'll find comfort in doing it as I see you're doing now. Keep at it!

Re: CF Member has Suffered Great Loss

All,

I just came across this thread. Thank you all for the kind words, thoughts and prayers.

I've been amazed at the support we've seen across the sailing forums I've hung out on. If any of you ever start doubting the good in people - read these threads. It's absolutely wonderful. Seriously.

We're slowly healing bit by bit. Everything's still a fog to be honest, but we'll keep moving. The boys are doing well - and we're taking care of each other and remembering how blessed we've been to have Alicia in our lives for the time we did. She was incredible.

I'm shopping for a new boat. We're going to have a hell of a lot of adventures together. She'd want that.
