"Other". 90% the way through a
refit /
refurb, could have been out sailing several years now - but just easier to keep her ready to
work on 24/7 (as the mood takes me
)..........to be honest, after I renamed her "Wayluya" Seadog! I had pretty much arrived at my
destination of having a Garden Shed to dissapear into (physically and mentally) - IMO every fella should have a Garden Shed
Besides, been messing around with boats since 3 foot tall, and nothing around here I've not seen a squillion times, including the easy bits of nearby (15 / 35 miles)
France..........albeit very nice it all is
..............but with the boats have always had a "can take it or leave it" attitude...........besides I get a few (Day / Short) trips every year with other folks
As my efforts on the
refurb draw to a close (and then I get to add some "nice" stuff
), I will be faced with some decisions........historically I have always tried to have 6 months of time off
work every year, I don't always succeed - the nature of self
employment - sometimes you got to grab stuff whilst it's offered, even if a PITA timing wise
...........half of me fancies 4 or 5 months of Northern
France (maybe some UK?), the other thinks just moor her up somewhere nice and "chill"
(I like my mid afternoon snoozes - that
is related to slow refurb progress
, despite having a bit more free time available than many others
).
Am also tempted to either build a small sailing dink (Foldable?/ nesting? for the stern of "Wayluya".........or (and??!) some sort of open wooden sailing dink about 17-19 foot as a bay sailer (Gaff?
, shoal
draft with stub
bilge keels and a centre board, for a swinging
and drying
mooring.....with an old Seagull on the back
).........a bit of a doer upper would be tempting..........
I shall have to do some (more) deep contemplation on the choices.......ZZZZzzzzzzzzz.
