Hey, gimme a break, it was my first poll.
Anyway, other questions I thought of were:
What type of boater would you like to be?
> same list of (stereo)types
What type of boat do you have or is your preference?
> Power
> Sail
How long have you been boating
> 1 year or less
> 2 to 3 years
> 4 to 5 years
> 6 to 10 years
> 11 to 20 years
> More than 20 years
How much of a role does boating play in your life?
> Take it or leave it
> Enjoy occasionally
> Obsessed
> Addicted
> Pathologically Addicted
If there is interest, I can create those polls as well.

Re: CF Member Demographics
We're about a 4.5 and live aboard from 3-6 months each year.

I'm a 4 working toward the day when I can be a 6. Somehow writting it this way seems bad for me because I like to think I'm a 10!

You better get your smacky back over to sailnet or I'm going to rat you out on a post over there

Re: CF Member Demographics
I'd be a 3.5.
Day boater with occasional over nights. We sail a 22 footer and EVERYONE in the family is six foot or taller. Makes for interesting overnights!

Whaaaaaa....?
Dude, I'm a member of all the sailing forums. I post if I find something fun - regardless of which forum it's on.
SN is definitely my typical hangout - but I'm an equal opportunity offender. SN, CF, SA, SW, PD, CSI, - it's all good.
So rat away brotha.

I am solidly a 4 but each year I try to push the envelop a bit further (longer distances, more challenging trips). At this rate, I will be a 6 in about 10 years...

Re: CF Member Demographics
Firmly a 2 at the moment.
Lived on a boat for a couple of years a few decades back and have messed around with boats all my life.
Now just trying to make that last damn duck get in the row, and we'll be out of here in a flash to get a big, heavy liveaboard ketch to be home for as long as we're having fun.
First meaningful trip will be the South Pacific coconut run back to Aus, and then wherever the whim, wind and seasons take us...

Re: CF Member Demographics
None of the above also... Live-aboard still paying slip fees and finishing the boat, out locally for 2 weeks at a time... as yet a part-time cruiser I guess. Haven't clocked the miles... been plenty of 'em doing different kinds of sailing
I thought smackdaddy's avatar was a still from Falling Down... funny

Sounds like this type of poll needs to have a multiple choice option.

It is an option for polls but unfortunately not an editable one.
