Yes, I realize there would be an extra charge for the
lift, but I really don't see any other way of doing it with this design.
I'll admit that if you can do all the preparatory
work while still afloat, yet secure the rudder against dropping out inadvertently, then one
lift will do it. Depending on the yard and how busy the lift is, you might be permitted to take the time to do the prep
work while in the lift basin or in the slings. Best to ask the yard in advance if that will be possible. Doing the prep work at you own slip, then moving to the list basin doesn't strike me as a good idea.
But the yard will no doubt be smart enuff to see a second lift fee in the offing :-)
