Not sure how many of you guys knew him, but if you spent more than a couple of days in Banderas Bay you probably heard him on the
radio at least. From the Puddle Jump Yahoo Group.

Those of you who have passed through Puerto Vallarta on your way to the South Pacific will certainly remember "Capt. Ron", a daily presence on the morning Banderas Bay Cruiser's Net, and a frequent visitor to the various marina's around the bay to pick up clothing and other donations for The Single Mom's Association.
We were informed on the net this morning that Dr. Peter Gordon reported that Capt. Ron Drew passed away yesterday at 2pm after being taken to a local hospital by his housekeeper.
Capt Ron's history in Banderas Bay and Puerto Vallarta goes all the way back to the days when coastal freighters would anchor off downtown and small boats would take out loads of bananas--a long time ago.
As many of you know, Capt. Ron was also very proud of his service in the Canadian armed forces during WWII.
Suffice it say that an era has ended here in this part of Mexico.
