I am considering
purchasing a sailboat in
Europe but am a little uneasy about the process. I would appreciate any
advice from those who have done this. I have seen several boats on the web (YachtWorld) that I am interested in. Not sure whether I should contact the dealers directly and
work out a deal or secure a dealer in the U.S. to act as my agent. Also somewhat nervous about the reputability of certain dealers in some countries (Turkey, Lebanon, Croatia). For example I have seen the same
boat listed in some cases by more than on dealer. Not trying to be ugly but cautious particularly when dealing with several hundreds of thousands of dollars. Any
advice is welcome. Also this is my first post so hi to you all!
