I am looking at buying a boat in the Caribbean

Hi All,

Now that I have sold my South Coast 36 I am looking at buying a Jeanneau Sun Oddesy 40 which is listed in St Maartens, The Caribbean.

I am interested to learn what other others have experienced in doing the same. Pitfalls, dangers what to look for? any information would be useful.

I am researching the web and have a fair bit of information but I guess nothing beats first hand experience.
