Book recommendation for a lady.

A few years back, I seen a book recommended to ladies that were looking into living aboard and cruising with their significant other. Does anyone recall the name of that book? I remember it was written by a lady, but I can't remember her name either. I would like to give it as a gift to someone very soon. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Beth Leonard's "A Cruising Sailors Handbook"? First edition preferred. There was also a book by a British woman author whose name escapes me, called, "Casting Off."

Those are two good books but not the ones I was looking for. The title is right on the tip of my tongue. The lady discuss how she was a bit intimidated at first but grew to enjoy the lifestyle in time.

Re: Book recommendation for a lady.

You might be thinking of Debra Ann Cantrell's book "Changing Course--A Woman's Guide to Choosing the Cruising Life". It's a good book/read for a woman and/or her partner/husband for both short/local and long term cruising. My (much) better half thought very highly of it.

FWIW...
